Contributing Writer
Jessica Ramer - Maxine Boggy
I have a B.A. in mathematics and an M.A. in psychology. My thesis research was on the effects of perinatal choline supplementation on the spatial abilities of hypothyroid rats, an experience that has given me a life-long interest in nutrition and intelligence.
I spent several years teaching algebra and have done research at the community college level on the teaching and learning of algebra word problems. I have my own tutoring service, Charlie Does the SATs.
My other interests include macrobiotics -- I am a certified macrobiotic instructor -- and writing a blog about ways to save on taxes.
